There are 2000 individual pocket springs at its core, with a generous 1000gsm comfort layer on each side, so both faces are full sleeping surfaces and turning the mattress spreads the wear the way mattresses used to last.
This is the one for people who do not want to sleep on foam. The feel is medium to firm and properly supportive, springs and traditional fillings doing the work, with the gentle responsiveness foam cannot give you. The 2000 pocket springs move independently, so support follows your body shape and a partner's movement stays on their side.
The finish is traditional too. The mattress is tufted, which anchors the fillings through the depth of the mattress so they cannot shift or bunch over years of use, and the side border carries handles to make turning and rotating easy. Both faces are covered in soft knitted bamboo fabric, blend, naturally breathable and gentle against bedding, keeping the sleep surface fresh.
This is a medium to firm mattress, and you sleep on it rather than in it. Bear in mind firmness feels a little different depending on your weight and build.
