Many upholstered bed frames use regular individual wooden slats to support the mattress. The Hampton Frame Bed takes a different approach by using our strong framed board base, constructed in a similar way to the top of a quality divan bed.
This creates a stable sleeping platform that supports the mattress across its full surface rather than at individual intervals. The result is a strong, dependable foundation that's compatible with all standard mattress types, including pocket sprung, memory foam, hybrid and latex mattresses.
Another practical benefit is the useful seasonal under-bed storage created beneath the framed board base. It's ideal for storing spare bedding, suitcases or seasonal items that you don't need every day. Simply remove the mattress whenever you need access.
If you require everyday access to under-bed storage, the Hampton Frame Bed can be upgraded with an optional gas-lift ottoman storage system.
Rather than using the standard framed board base, the ottoman version is fitted with a heavy-duty metal support frame incorporating pre-tensioned sprung slats. This engineered system provides excellent mattress support while allowing the mattress and sleeping platform to lift together using powerful gas struts.
The result is a spacious hidden storage compartment that's easy to access without removing the mattress, making it ideal for everyday storage.
