This is a luxury natural mattress for anyone who prefers a traditional feel and a healthier sleep surface. There is no foam anywhere in it, just 3500 individual pocket springs topped with generous layers of cotton, wool and silk.
The wool regulates temperature naturally, keeping you cosy in winter while wicking away moisture in summer. Cotton and wool are naturally hypoallergenic and breathable, so the sleep surface stays fresh and cool through the night. The borders are 100% Egyptian cotton, with cotton fabric on the top and bottom faces.
You can flip this mattress. Both faces are fully finished sleeping surfaces, so rotating and turning it spreads the wear and keeps it supportive for years longer than a one-sided design. The sides are hand stitched by skilled craftsmen, hours of work most mattress makers skip, because anchoring the outer rows of springs by hand gives a firmer edge than any machine finish.
This is a medium firm mattress, around 7 to 8 out of 10, and you sleep on it rather than in it. Bear in mind firmness feels a little different depending on your weight and build. Approx 11 inches deep.
