How to assemble frame bed with ottoman gas lift option?

Instructions on how to assemble frame bed with ottoman gas lift option

These instructions are for frame beds only that have been opted with the ottoman gas lift function when purchased from Pay Weekly Beds UK

After you have received your delivery ensure you have the following items.

  1. Headboard
  2. Foot board
  3. Storage platform boards
  4. Pair of long side rails (some designs have both siderails in 1 package)
  5. Slatted frame, metal support bar plus box of parts (single does not have the bar)

Instructions to assemble your frame bed

  1. From the box of parts screw in the hinges to each side rail.
  2. To assemble your frame bed stand the headboard and attach both of the side rails by slotting into the brackets and tighten the nuts.
  3. As above, stand your foot board and slot the side rails in, tighten the nuts.
  4. Unfold the slatted frame and put the support plates across either end, screw in with 2 nuts and bots each end so the frame is locked open. (Note 3ft single and 4ft small double comes open already)
  5. Attach the mattress support bar at the head end of the slatted frame.
  6. Place the frame on top of the lift hinges on the side rails and secure with the 3 nuts and bolts per side. Put centre bolts in at each side first to ensure the frame and lift hinge holes are level.
  7. Ensure all nuts are tight and secure, then lift the frame up to enable you to secure the gas pistons onto the hinges with the final nuts. If the piston head hole needs aligning always turn in a clockwise direction.
  8. Fit the strap at the foot end section of the slatted frame to allow you to lift it open.
  9. Place your boards on the side support bars located at the bottom of the side rails.
  10. Attach the metal support bar to each side rail.
  11. Close the frame to enable you to place your mattress on the slats. Please take care when opening and closing without a mattress on it as it will take more force to close and less to open.
